Communication with Parents:

Dubai Modern High School values parents as the core of the nurturing process and believes that they are partners in the educational system. The voice of parents is of utmost importance to us as we believe that feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible – the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.
In addition to standard procedures for communication such as the student’s diary and notes to the teacher, we offer many platforms for the interaction for students, parents and staff.
Coffee mornings:
Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after! Coffee Mornings are organized through the year by the Principal for parents of different class groups. At these meetings the Principal interacts with parents through discussions that are mutually rewarding. Minutes of the meetings are made available thereafter and all decisions are implemented in the given time frame.
E-communication:
In keeping with this fast paced technological age, parents may contact any member of staff sitting at their workplace or in the comfort of their homes. Administrative and teaching staff have official email ids which are checked at least once a day and they answer parents queries and requests.
One on one meetings:
In addition to the regular open house meetings, parents may seek appointments to meet the Principal, Headmaster, teachers and supervisor whenever necessary.
Orientation programs are organized for:
- New parents
- New teachers of the primary section; where parents are introduced to their child’s teacher
- Parents of children who are transitioning from Primary to Senior school
Parenting 24x7:
Organized by our Counselor and Special Educator, this one hour session is an exciting time for the parents of kindergarten and primary classes.
